The Kazakhstan native engaged in a fire fight with Hannah Cifers early before landing a jaw-dropping head kick followed by a rear-naked choke that brought a stop to the contest at just 2:42 into the first round.
“I feel amazing,” Agapova said after the win. “It was cool. I’m very happy. Dreams of all my life come true. I’m in the UFC now.”
THE HEAD KICK! THE SUB!
Mariya Agapova never let up on the pace.

There was no feeling out process when this fight got started with Agapova and Cifers rushing to the center of the cage with both swinging heavy punches at each other. Agapova’s reach paid huge dividends as she cracked Cifers with several stiff shots from the outside during the initial exchanges.
Cifers refused to back down as she was more than willing to sling heavy leather with Agapova but that game plan ultimately backfired.
As Agapova continued to press forward, she threw a left hand that Cifers ducked but it put her head in a perfect position for a kick that came a split second later. The shot landed flush but somehow Cifers survived but the end came just a moment later after Agapova jumped on her back and latched onto a rear naked choke.
The fighters fell to the floor as Agapova tightened the submission and Cifers had no choice but to tap out.
It was a very impressive outing for Agapova in her debut and she wasted no time calling for her next opponent.
“Shana Dobson, stop running away from me,” Agapova shouted. “I’ll fight you here.”
